In 30 km away from Rome, on the southern shore of Lake Bracciano, the majestic Castle stands, one of the most beautiful feudal residences in Europe and one of the the largest and the best-maintained castles in Italy.

It was built in the 15th century and combines the functions of a military defence structure and a civilian residence of the feudal lords of that period, the Orsini and Borgia, both papal families.

Located a few kilometers from city centre of Rome, the Castle was built between the tenth and thirteenth centuries on the ruins of an ancient Roman villa by the noble family Cancellieri that has been descended of the Orsini family.

The centuries replaced, the owners of the villa changed, but the Castle still shone in its splend surrounded by green hills or, until finally it was decided to turn it into a hotel.
