Built in the 10th century on the ruins of an ancient Sabina fortress, the Castle near Rome was given in feud to Francesco Orsini at the end of the 13th century.

The Castle was reinforced many times. Conquered by the Borgia and successively returned to the Orsini family, the Castle passed, after various ups and downs, in the hands of the Barberini and the Lante della Rovere families.

Nowadays the Castle near Rome is a luxury five star hotel houses 50 rooms and suites, all individually fitted with antique furniture and decorated with important works of art.

The Castle is a princely residence surrounded by greenery and by sea, located in 70km from the city centre of Rome and only in 10km from the sea port of Civitavecchia.

The 12th century fortified tower located by the sea was one of a chain of defense towers for the Papal State which stretched for some 20-30 kms along this part of coast.

By the 17th century the Castle had lost any military purpose and a building was incorporated on its northern side to house a religious order as well as agricultural activity.

In 30 km away from Rome, on the southern shore of Lake Bracciano, the majestic Castle stands, one of the most beautiful feudal residences in Europe and one of the the largest and the best-maintained castles in Italy.

It was built in the 15th century and combines the functions of a military defence structure and a civilian residence of the feudal lords of that period, the Orsini and Borgia, both papal families.

…A dream that can be a bright reality!

Located a few kilometers from city centre of Rome, the Castle was built between the tenth and thirteenth centuries on the ruins of an ancient Roman villa by the noble family Cancellieri that has been descended of the Orsini family.

The centuries replaced, the owners of the villa changed, but the Castle still shone in its splend surrounded by green hills or, until finally it was decided to turn it into a hotel. Today, that same magical atmosphere, romantic corners, beautiful gardens await you for a pleasant trip back in time...

The beautiful scenery of the Castle is a fairytale atmosphere for the happiest day of Your life - your wedding in Italy!

Moving from Catania towards the north we can admire traditional sicilian lemon trees, agaves and palms. At some point, approximately in 9 km from Catania, you will see the rocks emerging from the sea as if they were thrown by a giant, and the Norman castle situated on a spur rock. The rocks of volcanic origin are about 70 metres high and are called Cliffs of Cyclops. The coast was named after them the Riviera (coast) of the Cyclops.
