Once two castles housed by the sea in the province of La Spezia (it. La Spezia), in one of the bays of the romantic Gulf of Poets (it. Golfo dei Poeti).

The first castle was built in the 12th century, meanwhile the second one was built in the beginning of the 15th century.

The castle of the 12th century takes a dominating position on the rocky cape which embraces the bay from the South side. On the open terrace of the castle civil and symbolic wedding ceremonies and wedding banquets are carried out.

For those who dream about luxury wedding ceremony by the sea in Italy, this castle is a perfect venue.

The Castle is located above picturesque cove of the tiny resort town of Portofino.

The prestigious Castle from the 16th century, intimate and private, is an ideal location for exclusive, unforgettable wedding by the sea near Rome. Located in the splendid Nature Reserve, which spreads over 20 hectares, enjoys one of the most beautiful views of the Latium coast: to the Circeo and the Pontine Islands, and the outskirts of the cities of Anzio and Nettuno.

The Castle is a princely residence surrounded by greenery and by sea, located in 70km from the city centre of Rome and only in 10km from the sea port of Civitavecchia.

The 12th century fortified tower located by the sea was one of a chain of defense towers for the Papal State which stretched for some 20-30 kms along this part of coast.

By the 17th century the Castle had lost any military purpose and a building was incorporated on its northern side to house a religious order as well as agricultural activity.

Moving from Catania towards the north we can admire traditional sicilian lemon trees, agaves and palms. At some point, approximately in 9 km from Catania, you will see the rocks emerging from the sea as if they were thrown by a giant, and the Norman castle situated on a spur rock. The rocks of volcanic origin are about 70 metres high and are called Cliffs of Cyclops. The coast was named after them the Riviera (coast) of the Cyclops.
